Rosemarie (Maier) Alexander Obituary
Rosemarie Dina Alexander (nee Maier), also known as Kutchy, passed away at home on January 10, 2024, in Whitelaw, Wisconsin, at the age of 95. She was born on December 19, 1928, in Bridgeport, CT to the late Guy and Orsolina Maier. Rosemarie was a faith-filled woman who believed family comes first. She dedicated much of her time to her three children and cherished moments spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed preparing ethnic meals for her loved ones. Rosemarie had a great love and appreciation for animals, having owned and cared for a variety of them throughout her life, including sheep, beef cows, horses, and dogs. She had a sharp wit and sense of humor that kept her entire family on their toes.
After graduating from Bassick High School in Bridgeport, CT, Rosemarie worked for Columbia Records. Shortly after marrying Theodore Alexander in 1948, she dedicated her time to raising their family. In 1973 they moved to Vermont where she lived until 2019 when she moved to Wisconsin to live with her daughter and son-in-law after her husband passed away. She enjoyed five years of loving care with their family and pets. Rosemarie was a long-time member of St. Thomas Church in Underhill, Vermont, and also attended St. Michael in Whitelaw and was a devoted Catholic. Rosemarie enjoyed various hobbies such as reading, quilting, cooking, watching movies, and sending cards to friends and family. She loved to travel and was a great co-pilot.
Rosemarie is survived by her two sons, Ted Alexander, Jr. (Diane) of Underhill, VT, Jeff Alexander (Nancy) of Underhill, VT, and her daughter Pamela Call (Jeff) of Whitelaw, WI. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Teri Ferreira (Steve), Ted Alexander III (Elena), Emily Boomhower (Jack), Steven Alexander (Megan), Charles Alexander (Josie), Katie Miller (Dave), and Thomas Call (Aimee). In addition, she is survived by twelve great-grandchildren: Ted IV, Harmon, Kaylan, Aidan, Maxwell, Hailey, Isabelle, Dominic, Samantha, Abe, Luke, and Veronica, as well as one great-great-grandchild, Theodore George Alexander V. Rosemarie is also survived by her two sisters, Anna Provolo and Shirley Gilebbi, longtime family friend, Jack Eckert of Camarillo CA and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her loyal canine companion, Gus. She was preceded in death by Ted, her loving husband of 70 years and her brother Albert Maier.
Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 North Water Street, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Paul Gleichner. The family will greet relatives and friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 5:30 p.m. Following the services in Manitowoc, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place in Vermont, and Rosemarie will be laid to rest at Saint Thomas Cemetery in Underhill, Vermont, at a later date.

Rosemarie Dina Alexander will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her faith, love, and sense of humor will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. As Rosemarie would say "behave yourself".
