He was predeceased by: his wife Laura; his parents, Leona Zipperer and Reinhart Zipperer; his brothers, Allan and Rollie Zipperer; and his brother-in-law Charlie Walt.

He is survived by: his brother-in-law Mike; his sisters, Betty Walt (Charlie) and Sandie Dewane (Mike); and his sisters-in-law, Brenda Zipperer (Rollie) and Darlene Zipperer-Sheehy (Allan). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
