She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Schmitt and Olive Schmitt; and her brother Thomas Schmitt (Roy Berres). She is survived by: her siblings, Gary Schmitt (Sue), Dennis Schmitt (Sheila), William Schmitt and Mary Ann Meyer (Robert).
She was dedicated to serving her community and donated her time to the annual Salmon Derby, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manitowoc, and fund-raising activities for the city of Manitowoc.
