He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Herman and Patricia Knox (Kreisa); his brother Robert Knox Jr.; and his mother-in-law Nancy Downing. He is survived by: his wife Maria L. Downing; his children, Tanya Hady (Clevin), Terra Behnke (Adam), Tiffany Holschbach (Jacob) and Mark Herman (Heidi); his grandchildren, Haven, Michelle, Grayson, Lucas, Kenley and Grant; his pets, Sona and Beau; his stepfather Robert Knox; his siblings, Denise Herman (Chad), Jamie Knox, Amanda Cordova (Sean) and Melissa Knox (Ryan); his father-in-law Edward Downing Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Tina Sabin (William) and Edward Downing Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Mark's name that will be used to benefit causes that were important to him.
