She was predeceased by: her parents, William Christel and Loretta Christel (Schnettler); her husband Melvin Mueller; her daughter-in-law Lisa Koeppen; and her siblings, David Christel, LaVerne Hunter (Ted), Lorraine Bechle (Jerome), Richard Christel and Ronald Christel.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Koeppen (Diane), Gregg Koeppen, Kathy Schnell (Doug), Dale Koeppen (Michelle) and Ellen Koeppen (Tony); her sister Carol Leschke; and her siblings-in-law, Fred Koeppen Jr. (Mary Jo), Darlene Christel and Janet Christel. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
