He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert Bents and Christine Bents (Cordes) of Comstock; his wife Ann Einberger; his sister Karen; and his brother-in-law Mike McCulloch.
He is survived by: his sons, Adam Bents and Matthew Bents (Ali Shuda) of Madison; his grandchildren, Poppy and Maurice Bents; and his siblings, Dorothea Jirsa (Paul) of Oakdale, MN, Gerard Bents (Marcy) of Cumberland, WI and Ralph Bents (Carol) of Courtland, MN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Manitowoc Sunrise Optimist Club, the Manitowoc Public Library, or First Lutheran Church.
