She was predeceased by: her parents, Soren Sorensen and Vermilia Sorensen. She is survived by: her husband Robert Matthias; her children, Tanya Matthias (Ed Kennedy) and Brock Matthias (Nicole); her grandchildren, Owen, Kira, Soren and Brody; and her sister Beverly Sorensen.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Association (act.alz.org) in Cheryl's name.
