She is survived by: her husband Ervin Winiecki; her daughters, Tina Burbey and Christine Winiecki (Brian Bentley); her grandson Benjamin Rozum (Jenna Langrehr); her sisters, Dianne Knier (Ralph) and Patti Vetting; and her in-laws, Lorrie Winiecki and Alan Winiecki (Mary Ann).
Barbara's last wish was to donate her brain for the study of Parkinson's Disease, something she suffered with for 25 years. Forever a teacher, the University of Maryland accepted her donation for study.
