She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Foreyt and Anna Foreyt (Svatek); her husband James Sauer of Mary's Catholic Church; her son Gregory Sauer; her grandson Benjamin Jon Wesley Sauer; her daughter-in-law Susan Sauer; her extended family, Eleanor Jung (George), Helen Samz (Vincent), Paul Foreyt, Russell Ruether, Marie Lasse (LeRoy), Patricia Foreyt and Donald Radey; her in-laws, Wencil Sauer (Theresa), Ann Sauer, Lillian Mazna (Adolph), Catherine Shusta (Joe), Agnes Decker (Emil), Mayme Decker (Joe), Clara Petska (Harvey) and Raymond Sauer (Agnes); her goddaughter Mary Karnoski; and her great-nephew Brian Ruether.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Sauer (Jane), Thomas Sauer and James Sauer (Lisa) of Oak Hills, CA; her grandchildren, Jason Hein (Jenny), Erin Hein, Jesse Sauer (Kristen), Jeremy Sauer (Ashley), Vanessa, Michaela, Jennifer and Jimmy Sauer; her stepgrandsons, Timothy and Heath Belongie; her great grandchildren, Benny Hein, Scarlet Sauer, Laurin and Hailey Sauer; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jamey and Mitchell Belongie; her great great grandchild Catherine Belongie; her godson Andrew Sauer; and her siblings, Emily Ruether, Francis Foreyt (Joyce) and Dorothy Foreyt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (1416 Grand Ave, Manitowoc, WI 54220). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Knollwood Chapel (1500 WI-310, Manitowoc, WI 54220).
