Jerri Hurley wrote a sympathy message

“I just recently learned about Betty's passing, and want to offer my condolences to the family. Betty was one of the most influential teachers I ever had, and I think of her often--I have wonderful memories of the Home Ec classes she taught at North Lakeland. I still remember much of her sewing advice, the fun projects, and I still have (and use) some of her recipes from the Foods classes. Betty was very smart, talented and kind. I'm sorry for your loss. Jerri Lynn (McClellan) Hurley”
