He was predeceased by: his brother Fred Wegener. He is survived by: his daughters, Dawn Papendorf (Neil) and Tina Mittelsteadt (Mark); and his grandchildren, Nathan Papendorf, Heather Boyle (Brian), Hannah Harper (Brian), Marleah Knighton (Tim), Steven Papendorf, Adam Mittelsteadt and Kayla Mittelsteadt. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
