He was predeceased by: his mother Charlene Ritchie (Ravey); his brother Ken; and his brother-in-law Willie Burton. He is survived by: his father Bernard Ritchie; his children, Amy Samp (Scott), Angie Bucklin (Chris), Andrea "Picker" O'Brien, Travis Wochinski and Tanner Ritchie; his grandchildren, Savanah, Indigo, Ethen, Ariana, Shayd, Lakyn, Sage, Macy and Terry; his great grandchild Lane; and his siblings, Mike Ritchie (Pam), Bernie Ritchie (Barb), Joanne Piotter (Jerry), Peggy Burton and Cindy Ritchie.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to offset Chum's funeral expenses.
