He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Carolina Smith Sr. (Nussbaum); his sons-in-law, Joel Boeing and Mario Marotti; and his brothers, John Smith Jr. and Ernest Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie; and his children, Karen Thompson (Gary), Barbara Boeing, Melissa Marotti and Karl Smith. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
