He was predeceased by: his former wife Lorraine Schmude (Ferge); his daughter Debbie Schmude; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Poppy, Kendall Koski and Bill Pautz.
He is survived by: his parents, Robert Schmude and Patricia Schmude; his wife Elizabeth Schmude (Summerville); his children, Valerie Schmude, Robert Schmude (Tina) and Kevin Schmude; his grandchildren, Terrin, Aubree, Savannah, Gabrielle and Pierce; and his siblings, John (Mary Schmude), Steve (Christine Thompson), Don (Colleen DeCoster), Mike (Renee Schmude), Pete (Sharon Bartow), Wally (Lori Schmude), Sally Pautz, Kathy Poppy, Mary Koski, Gary (Jenny Schmude) and Wayne (Jo Schmude). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
