It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence I. Hammel (Manawa, Wisconsin), who passed away on April 24, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Bessette and Iva Bessette (Jarvais); her children, Barbara Ritchie and Clarence Samson Jr.; and her siblings, Donald (Lillian), Robert (Mary), Marie Schneider, Phyllis Smeiska and Theresa Bessette.
She is survived by: her husband Leroy Hammel; her daughters, Virginia Schweitzer and Connie Gabrielson (Gordon); and her siblings, Leroy Bessette (Pat) and Pat Tuscher (Roger). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brother and sister in-laws, numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
