He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Birschbach and Antonia Birschbach (Lauby); his wife MaryAnn Freund of St. Peter; his siblings, Henry Birschbach, Wayne Birschbach and Delores Ecker; and his siblings-in-law, James Costello, Clarence Freund, June Birschbach and Barb Birschbach.
He is survived by: his children, Jonathon Birschbach (Colleen) of Fond du Lac, Katie Kotansky (Steve) of Fond du Lac, Catherine Kostka of Wausau, John Schultz of Fond du Lac, Brenda Connor of Fond du Lac, Jenny Munson (Brian) of Fond du Lac and Leeane Birschbach of Fond du Lac; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Jacob, Joe, Samantha, Robert, Abigail, William, Antonia, Macie and Hunter; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Farah and Oden; his siblings, Ralph Birschbach of Mt. Calvary, Betty Costello of Fond du Lac, Gordon Birschbach of Oconomowoc, Rose Faucher (David) of Malone and Paul Birschbach (NancyLee) of Mt. Calvary; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Birschbach of Mt. Calvary and Michele Birschbach of Chandler, AZ.
He was a leader in raising funds for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, a committed 4-H leader, softball coach, served as the Town of Taycheedah Constable and he was an active member of the Abler-Engel American Legion Post 454 in Mt Calvary.
