He was predeceased by: his parents, Sheldon "Bud" Kane and Lennis Kane (Grant); his wife Sandra Kopp; and his sister Kathy Biesterveld (Kane). He is survived by: his nephew Scott; his daughters, Jennifer Birkel (Garrett) of Hudson, Erica Herink (Matt) of Roberts and Renee Nutter (Aaron) of New Brighton, MN; his grandchildren, Maizy, Elliot, Simon, Owen, Lauren and Henley; his brothers, Don (Theresa) of Plum City and Mike (Patty) of Maiden Rock; and his brothers-in-law, Gail Kopp (LuAnn) of Maiden Rock and Doug Biesterveld of Bloomer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials are preferred in Jerome's name for a memorial bench at the Pierce County Fairgrounds.
