He was predeceased by: his parents, William West and Arlene West (Emmerich); his wife Julia Plon; his grandson Bradley McDaniel; and his brother Carl "Bud" West.
He is survived by: his children, Mark West (Jodi) and Kimberly Schultz (Nathan); his grandchildren, Alexander McDaniel, Kyle and Hayden West; his great grandchild Nikkolas; and his siblings, Kathy Buenzli (August), Susan Dalton (Kirk) and Thomas West (Pam Papierniak).
