He was predeceased by: his wife Georgia Ann of La Crosse, WI; his stepsiblings, Anna Belle Cummins of Georgia, Frank, Jerome Cummins and Ervin Grahn; his brother Rev. Richard Grahn; his nephew Roger Cummins; and his sister Nina Kroger (Leroy).

He is survived by: his children, Diana Christine, David Christopher and William Matthew; his grandchildren, Jaime, Alex and Claire; his nieces, Carol Cummins and Karen Treblehorn; his brother David (Pat); and his sister-in-law Sonja Grahn.
