Walter touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter L. Vandervest and Elizabeth M. Vandervest (O'Dea); and his daughter Michele Lee Vandervest. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his daughters, Lisa, Laura and Mary Hartmann (Jim); his grandchildren, Kassidy Hill, AlexAndrea Mears (Josh), Barrett Hartmann, Sydney Derenne (Nate) and Coleton Vandervest; his great grandchildren, Brooks Richard and Halley Rose Derenne; his siblings, Mary Alma, Ellen Ubersetzig (Tom) and Pat (Bonnie); and also Dean Wightman. He is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
