Walter Dan Zimmerman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Dan Zimmerman of Madison, Wisconsin, born in Merrill, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 15, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Zimmerman and Velma Zimmerman (Kell); his wife Loretta (Galipeau); his children, Robert and Sherri; and his parents-in-law, Ray and Helene Galipeau (Wyss).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Lyn, Richard (Suzanne) and Randall; his aunt Phyllis Kell (Monty); and his sisters, Darlene Puphal (Rueben) and Shirley Hulke (David). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, family wishes donations in Dan's name be directed to the Wausau Burns VFW Post #338, 212 East Randolph Street, Wausau, WI 54401.
