He is survived by: his father Philip Lottes; his wife Becky Lottes (Shakstad); his children, Bailey Lottes (Elliot Jezo-Sywulka) and Brett Lottes; his siblings, Terri Reinke (Jim), Marianne Russ (Jim), Joe Lottes (Judy) and Pat Lottes (Patsy); his mother-in-law Donna Shakstad; his sisters-in-law, Karen Leighton (Duane) and Linda Thompson (Bob); and his pet Cora. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
