He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley James Rivers of Tom's Portage and Dorothy Julia Maloney of Portage, WI; his wife Carol Evans; his daughter Pat; his son-in-law Conrad Polensky; his stepmother Eva Rivers; his in-laws, Hector and Caroline Evans; his sister-in-law Beverly Evans; his siblings, Harold Evans and Mary; and his brother-in-law George Meyers.
He is survived by: his daughter Janet; his son-in-law Reed Bollig; his granddaughter Megan O'Connor (Matthew); his great grandchild Evelynn O'Connor (Evie); his siblings-in-law, Joan Evans, Janice and Dean Langholff; and his nieces and nephews, Richard Evans (Crystal), Nancy Holland (late Bob), Lori Albrecht (Curt), Darin Langholff (Kim), Andrew Meyers (Kim) and Dan Meyers (Tricia).
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cress Funeral Home (3610 Speedway Rd, Madison, WI 53705). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Any memorials should be made to Empty Stocking Fund, St. John's Lutheran Church or the Oakwood Foundation.
