She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas O'Shea and Catherine O'Shea (Tuohy); her former husband Paul Werlein; her husband James Duranso; her sister Sister Joan O'Shea; and her grandson Andrew Werlein.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Bartling (Lon), Gerard "Jer" Werlein and Julie Kirkpatrick; her grandchildren, Nathan Bartling (Emily), Heidi Sokoloski (Chris), Alex Kirkpatrick (Rada), Natalie Millikin (Greg) and Matthew Montoya-Werlein (Jeffrey); and her great grandchildren, Liam, Aiden Bartling, Noah Sokoloski and Emma Kirkpatrick.
In 2022, Therese received the Governor's Service Award for 20 years of service as an RSVP volunteer.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Therese's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Agrace HospiceCare or NAMI Southeast Wisconsin-Waukesha.
