He was predeceased by: his mother Denise Ward; and his grandparents, Ramona Ward, Roger and Norma Johnson. He is survived by: his father Wayne Johnson of Waukon; his siblings, Molly Hawes (Dakota) of Waukon, Bobby Johnson (Lori) and Amy Lenzendorf (Doug); his grandfather Gary Ward; and his nieces and nephews, Cameron, Colton Johnson, Dawson, Drew Lenzendorf, Lennyn Hawes and Baby Hawes. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Martin-Grau Funeral Home & Cremation Service (202 Allamakee St NW, Waukon, IA 52172). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
