He is survived by: his wife Barbara Notebaart; his children, Jennifer Snyder, Sarah Nehls Rikkers and Paul; his daughter-in-law Mia Nehls; his grandchildren, Jack Snyder, Ava, Hale Rikkers and Leila Eileen Nehls; his sister Donna; and his brother-in-law Dennis Short. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
