Patricia A. Carroll Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia A. Carroll in Madison, Wisconsin, born in Beloit, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 15, 2024 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Grace Schappe; her brother-in-law Michael Grady; and her pet Zack. She is survived by: her husband Dave; her daughters, Amy Schermetzler (Bradley) and Allison Manguso (Matthew); her grandchildren, Matthew, Jack and Beckett; her father Jim Schappe; and her siblings, Al Schappe (Teresa), Lynn Grady and Steve Schappe. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many loving friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that any donations be made in Patti's name to the American Cancer Society.

“I don't know if there are words to console. I have none. The only memories I have of Patty are those filled with a lot of laughter. Patty - and all the Schappe/Schneider kids form the happiest of childhood memories for me. Patty was always the clever- sparky one. She could coax a smile out of a stone. I know that I had 3 sisters - but really there were 12 children in my childhood "family" - and I am forever grateful. I will keep her always in my heart. (from Jackie (Brown) )”
