He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Zimmerman and Mabel Zimmerman (Hinrichs); and his brothers, David R., Elliot "Mark" and Lloyd G. Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Hasse; his children, Anna M. Dreger (Steven) and Aaron M. Zimmerman (Karen); his grandchildren, Sophie R. and Peter A. Zimmerman; and his sister Lettie M. Zimmerman (John Bullis). He is also survived by three nephews; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts - Glacier's Edge Council, or St. John's Lutheran Church, 322 E. Washington Ave., Madison.
