She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Greenlaw and Louise Greenlaw. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Meyer; her sons, Aaron Meyer and Benjamin Meyer (Erika); her grandson Rhys; and her siblings, Sarah Greenlaw (Matthew O'Brien), Ann Moffat (David) and Paul Greenlaw (Lisa Ocokoljich). She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In 2006, Mary was honored with a Herb Kohl Foundation Teacher Fellowship, which recognized her excellence and innovation as a public educator.
