With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Eileen (Wallace) Stitgen (Madison, Wisconsin), who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Eileen (Wallace) Stitgen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Wallace and Genevieve Wallace (Gunning); her siblings, Hugh, Dean, Jean and Joan; and her daughter Sharanne.
She is survived by: her husband Harry Stitgen; and her children, Jeffrey (Gail), Stuart (Ann), Stacey Meanwell (Walter) and Thomas (Bridget). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (401 S Owen Dr, Madison, WI 53711). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 12:10 PM to 12:30 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (2705 Regent St, Madison, WI 53705). A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (401 S Owen Dr, Madison, WI 53711).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Attic Angels Association or St. Mary's Foundation.
