He is survived by: his wife Judith Darlene Ball Pelley; his children, Attorney Douglas Scott Pelley (Ingrid Satelmajer) and Dr. Elaine Michelle Pelley (Benjamin Shoemaker); his grandchildren, Ryan, Alison, Derek and Natalie; his brother Rudolph Pelley (Mo); his niece Barbara Pelley Montaperto; his nephew Bruce Pelley; and also Loren Nelson.
