It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaVerne Anton Birrenkott of Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Birrenkott and Catherine Birrenkott (Hellenbrand); his mother-in-law Martha Schulz; his brother-in-law Fred Pertzborn; and his nephew Bill Maly.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his sons, Mark (Ginny), Gary, Eric, Brian (Laurie) and Jeff (Leslie); his grandchildren, Scott, Drew (Morgan Breene), Brant (Lianna Mack), Kirsten Thayer (Zach), Erica Miller (Stephen), Teagan and Jase; his great grandchildren, Ace, Leo, Chloe and Evelyn; and his sisters, Helene Pertzborn (Pertzborn) and Lorraine Maly (Norm).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Dennis Catholic Church (505 Dempsey Rd, Madison, WI 53714). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the St. Dennis Parish.
