He was predeceased by: his mothers, Ramona (Fahey) and Frances (Ganser); his father-in-law Bernard Schubring (Bud); and his godparents, Greg Gmeinder and Mary Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Schubring; his children, Laura Mattek (John), Erin Eberhardt (Matt) and Julie Kull (Joey); his grandchildren, Ethan, Amelia, Eleanor and Juliette; his siblings, Rich (Pat), Frank (Jean), Tom (Jill) and Joan Gmeinder; his mother-in-law Colleen Schubring; his siblings-in-law, Mark Schubring (Carole), Paul Schubring (Liz), John Schubring (Elsa), Mary McKean (Pete) and Clare Boyle (Greg); and his close friend Mark Coronna.
