He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Dyer and Bernice Dyer (Gilbertson); and his siblings, Walter "Sonny" Dyer, Marion "Mert" Dyer, Lois "Tudy" Carson and Nata Guess.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Varese; his daughters, Kimberly Jantzen (Ronald) and Dena Bender; his grandsons, Kevin Dyer, Dan Dyer, Jake Jantzen and Cain Jantzen; and his great grandchildren, Alli Dyer and Shawn Dyer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care (5203 Monona Dr, Monona, WI 53716). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (3054 County Hwy N, Cottage Grove, WI 53527). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kenneth's Residence (217 Harding St, Madison, WI 53714).
