She was predeceased by: her father John Edward. She is survived by: her mother Catherine Thurston (Angsten); her husband Michael Shelton; her daughter Jill Shelton Miura (Asa); her grandchildren, Kin and Risa; her daughter Amy Chafe (Stephen); her grandsons, Andrew and John; her daughter Susan Ashmore (Bradley); her grandchildren, Grace and Charlie; her daughter Katie Shelton (David Nacol); her grandsons, Isaac and Arthur; and her brother Tom Thurston (Tom). She is also survived by in-laws, cousins, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Kathy's honor to the Foundation for Madison Public Schools or Agrace (hospice).
