He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Spaeni and Eleanor Spaeni (Doerschlag); his siblings, Darlene Frazier (Spaeni) and Ted Spaeni; his siblings-in-law, Carol Peters, Vic Keith Riley, Al Frazier and Clinton Vandall; his niece Mary Kay Frazier; his nephews, Jeffrey Spaeni (Kim) and Greg Spaeni; and his son-in-law Brian Mack.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Riley; his children, Kari-Sue Beetham (Spaeni), Steven John Spaeni (Monica) and Sally Jo Spaeni; his grandchildren, Graham Beetham, Blake Beetham (Kelsey Kuhl), Sarah Weir (Greg), Molly Spaeni Voss (Alex Voss), Yazan Kamal, Nader Kamal, Andrew Mack (Wipfli), Alison Mack (Cory Jobst) and Kirsten Ace (Ben); his great grandchildren, Theodore Beetham (Teddy), Genevieve Beetham, Nolan Weir, Riley Weir, Caden Mack, Kyler Mack, Brooklynn Mack, Olivia Jobst, Aleah Ace, Jack Ace, Hudson Ace, Benny Ace and Mason Ace; his siblings, Sandra Vandall (Spaeni) and Tim Spaeni (Diana); his sister-in-law Katherine Skaife; and his nieces and nephews, Michael Frazier (Cassie), Pam Dudley (Tom), Jon (Adrian), Jamie (Christie), Rusty Vandall (Jennifer), Dena Fjelstad (Chris) and Angi Larson (Jeff).
