He was predeceased by: his father Tom Doris; his brother Jim Doris; and his pet Sadie. He is survived by: his wife Sally Jackson; his mother Catherine Doris of Sun Prairie; his sister Christine Henthorne (Chris) of Lodi; his stepchildren, Amber Amundson (Pete) of Eden Prairie, Minn., Jazmin Jackson of Monona, Brooks Jackson of Deerfield and Jesse Schneiter (Calli) of South Carolina; his adoptive daughter Kate Doris; his grandchildren, Riley, Charleigh, Xavier, Archer, Dax, Charlotte, Penelope and Eleanor; and his pets, Hattie and Hydra. He is also survived by many cousins and close friends.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Goodman Center, Brass Works Building (214 Waubesa St, Madison, WI 53704).
