He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Jacobson and Lillian Jacobson (Mau); and his sister Lois Mary. He is survived by: his wife Carol Dolbier; his sister Joyce Claire Jacobson; his children, Kristin Shebesta, Derek Jacobson (Lori) and Dana Jacobson (Deb); and his grandsons, Christopher Shebesta, Jonathan Shebesta, Bennett Shebesta, Isaac Moen (Hayley) and Elijah Jacobson.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the American Heart Association or Monona United Methodist Church.
