He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Carey and Alta Carey (Lappley); and his wife Janet Ruth Quaden. He is survived by: his children, Shelley Gordon (Castel), Debbie Ashley, Jill Schultz (Al), Lisa Luedke (Scott) and Chris Carey (Shannon); his grandchildren, Mike Ashley (Kathryn), Bryan Ashley (Kristin), Lauren Gattis (Thomas), Allie Royston (Kyler), Matt Luedke (Dru), Brad Schultz and Megan Luedke; and his brother Richard Carey (Corinne). He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
