Jack Melby Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Melby of Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 16, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Melby and Lucille Melby (Stedman); and his sister Anita Fanta (Donnie). He is survived by: his children, Jessica Basala (Adam), Amanda Heuer (Alex) and John Melby (Marisa); his grandchildren, Evelyn, Luella, Nora, Wesley Basala, Oliver, Vivienne Heuer, Sienna, Declan and Landon Melby; his siblings, Jill Graewin (Al) and Brian Melby (Linda Gunther); his former wife Pamela; his nieces and nephews, Shad (Nina), Kelly, Renee (Scott), April (Chris), Alex and Megan (Kevin); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cam, Oscar, Carter, Mason, Bailey, Jake, Cooper, Isaiah (Michallie), Eli, Cate and Avery.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 4:40 PM at the Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care (5203 Monona Dr, Monona, WI 53716). The military honors will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 4:45 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be gifted in Jacks name to Wounded Warrior Project.
