He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Sr. and Mildred Howell; his sister Ramona Presson; his grandparents, Clarence, Pearl Hicks, Robert and Juanita Forbes; and his friends, Jack Deal and Brad Arndt.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Forbes of Madison; his children, Christina Hall (Ronnie) of Cottage Grove, Michael Forbes of Washington and Alyssa Forbes (Bud Mears) of Lake Mills; and his stepchildren, Kelsey Wollin of Milwaukee and Kyle Wollin (Nicole Harrison) of Lake Mills. He is also survived by five nieces, two nephews, three great-nieces, one great-nephew, and one great-great-niece.
