In loving memory of Gary L. Hoffman (Madison, Wisconsin), who departed this world on April 1, 2025 at the age of 77. Gary leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Hoffman and Ardoth "Eula" Hoffman (Kelton); and his brother Greg Hoffman. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne "Suz" Hoffman; his children, Heather Hoffman (Will Frishe) and Ryan Hoffman (Alyson); his grandchildren, Stella Hoffman and Wyatt Hoffman; and his siblings, Gene Hoffman and Bonnie Juaire.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Asbury Church (6101 University Ave, Madison, WI 53705). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to the MS Society or Way Forward food pantry.

“Many great memories with Gary. Gary was a Board Member, Vice President, Secretary and Raffle Fundraiser Coordinator for Capital City Muskies Inc. since 2005. He started and initiated the Pit Tag Challenge muskie tournament on Lake Monona in 2014 which encouraged anglers to catch and scan muskies for DNR research. The Tournament has now been renamed the Gary Hoffman Memorial Pit Tag Challenge to be held again on September 27. Gary was honored in 2023 with the CCMI Club Lifetime Achievement Award.”
