He was predeceased by: his parents, John McMahan (Annie McMahan) and Annie McMahan; his grandmother Schorr; and his granddaughter Annie Vander Linden. He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie; his daughters, Colleen (Daniel), Maureen (Jeffrey), Kathleen (Jerry) and Janeen; his grandchildren, Ben (Sierra), Marta, Lauren (Ben) and Alexis; and his great grandchild Amelia.
