Esther L. Hedfield Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 12, 2024, at the age of 89, Esther L. Hedfield (Madison, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Esther departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Esther may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Esther leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Lerdahl (Whitford) and Nels Christian Lerdahl; and her sister Judith. She is survived by: her husband Hagen Hedfield of Madison; her daughters, Ellen Hedfield and Susan Hedfield-Lerdahl; her granddaughters, Olivia Daponde and Claudia Daponde; and her brothers, Alfred Lerdahl and Stephen Lerdahl. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Esther's name to the Madison Symphony Orchestra or The Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy.
