It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Douglas Jan Oldenburg of Madison, Wisconsin, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Oldenburg and Helen Oldenburg (Sorcic). He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn; his children, Julie Oldenburg and David Oldenburg (Bonnie); his granddaughter Natalie Oldenburg; and his sister Joan Wheeler (Butch).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Doug's memory to UW Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.
