He was predeceased by: his father John "Jack" Callahan; and his brother Monty Edward Callahan. He is survived by: his cousins, Randy and Aaron Fiscus; his brothers, Bill Callahan (Melody Wirth) and Tony Callahan (Gwyn Purdue); his nieces, Vayda Callahan, Meeya Callahan and Sophia Callahan; and his godmother Judy Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Dane County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
