He was predeceased by: his parents, Leopold Michalski and Marietta Michalski (Riehle); and his son-in-law Jason Austin. He is survived by: his wife Mary (McDonald); his children, Cindy Austin and Brent Lee Michalski; his grandchildren, Lucy Austin, Drew Austin, Grey Austin and Quin Austin; and his siblings, Karen Palluconi (Mike), Jim Michalski (Marge), Tom Michalski (Jessica), Kathy Glass (Reuben) and Kristine Weigal (Russ). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Don's name to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Red Cross (please go donate), UW School of Veterinary Medicine Companion Animal Fund, or St. Vincent de Paul free pharmacy.
