He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bormett and Meta Bormett (Morgan); his brothers, Dick and Jim Bormett; his brother-in-law Don York; and his parents-in-law, Earl and Winnie Shea.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Bormett (Shea); his daughter Kate DeNamur (Chad); his grandsons, Jack and Matthew; his daughter Kristi Shipley (Kelly); his grandchildren, Alek and Anna; his son Steve Bormett; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Bormett, Ginny Bormett, Peggy York, Dan Shea (Marilyn), Pat Shea (Mary) and Mike Shea (Sara). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Queen of Peace Endowment Fund or to the Knights of Columbus Council 531.
