She was predeceased by: her mother Kathleen Alsum (Herfort); her grandfather Gerrit Alsum; and her aunts, Patricia Alsum and Cheryl Herfort. She is survived by: her father Ronald Alsum; her grandmother Marion Alsum; her uncle Philip Herfort; and her cousins, Anthony and Katrina Herfort. She is also survived by other relatives and many special friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Friesland Community Church (107 E Winnebago St, Friesland, WI 53935). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“What I always enjoyed about my niece is her humor. She was a fierce human who if she wanted to try something she did. The last time I talked with her, she was forthright and ended with that little chuckle. when my daughter last came home I heard a lot of communication and that little chuckle. they were talking while Katrina was driving. They were keeping each other company even though they were over a thousand miles apart. I am sure that Katrina will miss that. My condolences to everyone.”
