He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent DiRienzo and Elizabeth DiRienzo; his wife Shirley Engelhart; his sister Rosemary; his nephews, Daniel and Douglas; and his parents-in-law, Herbert and Lorena Engelhart.
He is survived by: his children, Michael DiRienzo (Rita Wilhelm), Teresa Bertini (Tony), Tammy Murphy (Dennis) and Tina DiRienzo; his grandchildren, Jaclyn Miller (Josh), Jolene Bertini, Michael Murphy (Brianne), Nicholas Welna (Hannah Maher), Seth Welna (Autumn) and Austin Bertini; his great grandchildren, Charlie Mae, Calvin Murphy, Maya and Miller; his brothers, Dominican Brother Vincent DiRienzo and Clair DiRienzo; his nieces, Diana Kropac (John) and Dawn Green (Vernon); his nephew David DiRienzo (Lynne); and his pet Shirley Ann. He is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and his beloved companion.
